Did you know that Jenolan Caves was the first open cave system in the world to be discovered?it may not be the biggest but it was the first. Right at the caves is the magnificent Tudor style Jenolan House where the architecture will take you back in time to when visiting here was indeed a long journey which would take much effort.

Built in the late 1800’s the 88room guest house provides mountain lodging along with a three bedroom cottage as well as backpacker accommodation. The caves are most spectacular especially under coloured lights. Georg Mertens plays cello and entertains gracefully every fourth Saturday of the month.
